Day 1: ARRIVAL IN TIRANA ,ALBANIA

AIRPORT-TIRANA,30 MIN.

Once arrived at the airport an agent will be there waiting to take you to your hotel.Depending on arrival time,we might start to explore the Capital of Albania,Tirana.Overnight stay in Tirana,

Day 2: TIRANA -SHKODER

                   Tirana- Shkoder 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Founded more than 2000 thousands years ago,Shkodra is one of the oldest cities and the centre of Yllirians                               Kings.Rozafa castle represents an Albanian legend and offers a breathtaking view of the city and surroundings                         Overnight stay in Shkodra.

               Day 3: SHKODER- SHALA RIVER

Shkoder-Shala river 3 hours

A boat trip to arrive at Shala river in the middle of Albanian alps.you can have a swimm in the cristal water of the                     river.Lunch at Shala river.Overnight in Shkoder

              Day 4: SHKODER-LEZHA-KRUJA-DURRES

        Shkoder-Lezhe 1 hour

We head towards Lezha(antique Lissus).The city of Lezha is located 47 km south of Shkodra. One of the most important historical events for Lezha, and indeed for all of Albania, was the famed “the League of Lezha” on March 2nd, 1444, where under the leadership of national hero Skanderbeg, the Albanian princedoms united against the Ottomans. The Memorial Grave of Skanderbeg is here, at the ex-Cathedral of Shën Kolli, where he was buried in 1468.

Lezha-Kruja 1 hour

Kruja is known as the hometown of GJERGJ KASTRIOTI SKENDERBEG,Albanian national hero.We will have the opportunity to learn more about this great leader by visiting the museum which is named after him ”Scanderbeg museum”.visit to the old bazar(market) situated on the foots of the castle.

Kruje-Durres 1 hour and 30 minutes

Durres was an important city in the antiquity due to his deeper natural  port in the mediterranean area,and the beginning of the Egnatia Road which connected Rome to Constantinople.We will see the relics of these times such as the Amphitheatre, the city walls and the National Archaelogic Museum.Overnight in Durres

Day 5: DURRES-BERAT

Durres-Berat 2 hours

We will discover today an Albanian city listed on the UNESCO list for its characteristic architechture;the city of Berat.Known as the city of “1001 windows” we will be charmed by its white houses steep streets and fantastic castle still inhabited by people.Visit of ONUFRI museum situated inside the castle.

Day 6:BERAT-ARDENICA-APOLLONIA-VLORA

Berat-Ardenica 1 hour

Ardenica;Located 237 meters above sea level  famous for the Monastery of the Nativity of the Theotokos and many breathtaking landscapes. A pagan temple dedicated to the goddess Artemis had existed where the Monastery sits now, which explains the origin of the name Ardenica.

Ardenica-Apollonia 30 minutes

Apollonia of Ylliria as it was well known in antiquity  is the country’s largest and important archeological park.Emperor Octavius and his friend Agripa studied here.

We head towards Vlora and visit the city where the Independence of Albania was declared in 1912

Korca-Pogradec 1:30 minutes

After breakfast we go to visit Voskopoja,one of the most important cities in 17-th century,reduced in  a village nowadays where we can admire the georgous churches still remained.Lunch in Voskopoja.

We go toward Pogradec  on the shore of Ocrid lake.Overnight in Pogradec

Day 11: Pogradec-Tirana

Pogradec-Tirana 2 hours
